Handcrafting goods from waste, creating jobs for community, upskilling women and youth.
Women gain skills allowing them opportunity for green jobs, shift awareness for sustainable products and create custom products for personal and corporate gifting.
We partner with members of our local community to collect glass waste from restaurants, homes, and hotels — preventing it from ending up in dumpsites.
Through our circular model, we;
Create local livelihoods by training and employing community members in waste collection and craftsmanship.
Educate on “waste as wealth,” inspiring a mindset shift toward sustainability and resourcefulness.
Reduce environmental waste by transforming discarded glass into beautiful, functional gifts.
Every handcrafted piece tells a story — of creativity, empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
We are working with our local immediate community to create income opportunities, and waste life extension that accelerate a shift to embrace sustainable handcrafted goods. 100% of our employees are women from the community and walk to work every day and receive free training from MokoMaya.
Our Value Chain
We are committed to disrupting the current cycle of waste by going directly to the source closing the loop on the current model that takes waste to the dumpster. This gives us a better quality raw material with a direct impact to the households and outlets we collect from. We do this in partnership with waste aggregators who we train along with property care takers, bar tenders restaurant supervisors etc.
Our founder and CEO is a Kenyan woman
All employees are women from the immediate community who walk to work. With over 50% being youth
Our products are hand made and good for people and planet
