Reusing glass bottles reduces extraction of Silica, Limestone and Soda Ash all of which sometimes cause water contamination, contribute to noise pollution, impact biodiversity, and sometimes cause soil erosion. New glass production leads to high energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Up-cycled glass bottles leads to significantly lower waste volume in the landfills as glass cannot be flatened.
